Upcoming Blood Drives in Weston

Dana Farber Blood Mobile in Boston

Weston will be the site of two upcoming blood drives, one for Dana-Farber and Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and the other for the Red Cross. Both organizations cite increasing needs for blood products during Covid-19; Dana-Farber mentions that they are starting to see shortages.

The first drive is the Dana-Farber Blood Mobile on Wednesday, April 14 from 11 am-5:30 pm, and will be held at the Weston Police Station (180 Boston Post Road By-Pass). Appointments are requested, but walk-ins will be taken as time allows. Please register here. If you have questions, please contact the Kraft Family Blood Donor Center at 617.632.3206 or email at blooddonor@partners.org. Note that all of the blood and platelets collected on the Blood Mobile benefit patients at Dana-Farber and Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

On Monday, April 19 from 11 am-4 pm, the Red Cross Blood Drive will be at the Westgate Church (100 Winter Street). Donors are asked to schedule an appointment prior to arriving at the drive. Appointments can be made via the American Red Cross Blood Donor Apponline or by calling 1-800-RED CROSS. Blood and platelets collected by the Red Cross go to replenishing national supplies.

Save a life. Give blood.
