The MBTA has announced that tomorrow, April 30, will be the last day of what they term the “diversion shuttle service” on the Fitchburg line. The Owl calls it the big yellow bus (it’s Yankee Lines, not Weston school buses) and fails to see what is so diverting about it Train service was suspended due to maintenance on the tracks.

Fitchburg train service will resume on Monday, May 3. There is a new timetable going into effect, and if you have missed Hastings and Silver Hill stations, your heart will continue to be filled with sadness: only Kendal Green will be in service in Weston.

Hourly service is back for most of the day, on weekdays, but weekend service is not resuming at this time. You can view the new timetable here on the MBTA’s website.
