Out of Home Range: Waltham’s Riverfest is On This Weekend

After a pandemic cancelation last year, the Waltham Riverfest is back this weekend for its 12th annual edition. While reduced in size, the joy remains the same with musical events, art and science activities for the family, and a guided walk by one of the Owl’s favorite Land Trusts.
On Friday, August 6, the festivities will begin with live music performances, including the Waltham Philharmonic Festival Brass, outiside outside Margaritas Restaurant, 211 Moody Street. Saturday activities will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 pm. along Moody Street, from Carter Street to Pine Street. If you’re into that kind of thing, let it be known that the beer garden will be back, sponsored by Mighty Squirrel brewing company. And yest, food trucks. Times are updated here,
At 3 pm, join the Waltham Land Trust for a guided nature and history tour along the river. Find out more at the WLT table, pick up trail maps and other bling. Support your local land trusts!
