The First Parish Church of Weston has sent out details for the memorial service for Paul Penfield. Paul passed away June 22, at the age of 88. You can read the Owl’s post on him here.

A memorial service for Paul Penfield will be held on Saturday, August 21 at 1:00 pm under a tent in the upper parking area at First Parish Church. An ice cream social reception in the Parish Hall will follow the service; the Weston Historical Commission will present an award to Paul under the tent at 3:30 pm. Following that, everyone is invited to participate in a “second-line” walk, led by a New Orleans-style band, down to the Rail Trail, where Gail Palmer of the Rail Trail Advisory Committee (Ed: and trustee of Weston Forest & Trail Association) will give a short word of thanks for all of Paul’s work.
