Friends of Weston Public Library Seeking Donated Children’s Books

The Friends of the Weston Public Library have issued a call for donations of gently-used children’s books for the Library Sale which will take place on the first weekend in November. Check through your shelves for what your kids are done with and what they haven’t chewed or ripped or played tug-of-war with the dog. Oh, wait, that’s just our Dr. Seuss collection.

“We find ourselves in short supply of children’s books, which are always extremely popular at the sale,” said Tina Kurkjian of the Friends of the Weston Public Library. “Picture books, easy science and nature books, first readers, all of these are extremely welcome.”

Donations should be placed in the bin INSIDE and to the left in the Weston Public Library lobby. The white bins that are currently in the Library parking lot do NOT get sent to the WPL Book Sale. While the Friends do get a small percentage of those donated books’ sales, the WPL Book Sale on November 4-6 is the major fundraiser for the Friends organization.

Also the Book Sale will have CAKE and other baked goods for sale. Maybe pie. Books and pie. Guess which feathered friend will be there?
