Weston Public Library Book and Bake Sales November 4-6

The Owl has changed the order of the title of this about four times–which wins? A Bake Sale or a Book Sale? Well, lucky for us Westonians, we do not have to choose. The Weston Public Library B&B Sale starts Thursday night for members of the Friends of the Weston Public Library and continues on Friday November 5 and (for books only) on Saturday November 6.
In an effort to (literally) butter you up before the start of the Book Sale, the Bake Sale begins at 1 pm on Thursday, November 4. You’ll have to wait for 3 pm that day to start buying your books, and only if you are a member (don’t worry, you can renew or buy your membership on site or use the link here). The Book and Bake Sales then continue through the afternoon with the Book Sale shutting up shop at 8 pm, and the Bake Sale still going untl 9 pm when the Library closes. Pie before bedtime, hooray!

On Friday, the Book Sale runs from 10 am – 5 pm, and the Bake Sale from 10 am to whenever they run out of pies and cakes and cookies. Yum. Those who choose to say, work, rather than heading to the book/bake sale will have a sad Saturday when the bake sale is no longer and the books are down to the nubbins and for sale only from 10 am to 2 pm. Ah well, you can always find another book you need…always…
Pricing is the same as past years with $2 for hardcover and $1 for paperback. All funds go to support the mission of the Friends of the Weston Public Library:
The Friends of the Weston Public Library strives to encourage and promote the development of a strong and active public library, which serves as an educational and cultural center for the Town. FWPL will seek to foster community engagement with the library by sponsoring events and programs and to augment library services and resources not otherwise funded.
