Weston Police Lead Successful Missing Person Search

Many Weston residents were awakened this morning at around 6:30 am with multiple calls, texts and messages about a missing person. Some of us were already awake due to a hungry house panther. In any case, here is the report from the Weston Police, in its entirety.

The Weston Police were made aware overnight that a missing and suicidal male was possibly in Weston. At around 2 am, Officer Kyle Altieri located the vehicle the missing person was driving parked at Burchard Park, and there were signs that he intended to harm himself.
A coordinated large scale search was initiated with the assistance of NEMLEC K-9 teams, inluding Weston’s own K9 Knox (good boy, Knox!) and officers from the entire Northeast region of Greater Boston. These resources included search teams, K9 teams, and drone operators.
After an extensive search, the male was located in the woods, and although in need of medical attention, was miraculously alive. He was transported to the hospital for treatment, and his family was assisted through all of this by our mental health clinician and Detectives.
Although some may have felt inconvenienced by a community notification, we employed all available means to bring this to a successful conclusion. This was an enormous team effort which thankfully resulted in a happy ending.

Thank you, Weston Police., y’all rock!
