Toys For Tots Drive at Weston Police Station Could Use More Toys

Why are those bins empty, Weston? Hmmm. Courtesy Photo

The Weston Police Department is once again supporting the Toys For Tots campaign in conjunction with the US Marine Corps Reserve. The primary goal of the Marine Toys for Tots is, through the gift of a new toy, to help bring the joy of Christmas and send a message of hope to America’s less fortunate children. The Marine Corps has been doing this since 1947 (!!) and the Weston Police Department…ah…for a little less time than that. I just cannot get good research help these days–you know, “supply chain issues.”

Unopened/unwrapped toys can be dropped off at the police station up until Friday, December 10, 2021.

There are several drop off bins in the front lobby, which I personally think are looking very empty. Let’s go, Weston! You know the Owl is competitive and Lincoln is totally raking in the toys. They have like 5 people in Lincoln. We can do better. And yeah, I do suspect K9 Knox of leaning in and stealing some of the stuffies, but who is going to address that with the big Slovakian-speaking shepherd? Not me.

Gratuitous photo of K9 Knox. Does he look guilty to you?
