Christmas Eve Around Weston

If you celebrate Christmas, and are wondering what services and programs might be happening in Weston, here’s an overview of the ones that the Owl knows about. If you think we’re missing any, please let us know. Royal “we” and “us”. Please note that some events require pre-registration, and most require masks.

Note that even if you are not religious, all services are inclusive and welcoming. If you’re alone on Christmas, well, you really don’t need to be. Join your community at one of the following events. Note that there are also virtual options at some of these parishes.

Christmas Eve services:

6 pm – 7 pm: First Parish Church of Weston Christmas Eve Service. Traditional Service of Lessons & Carols! The evening will include carols, songs, a Christmas message, and concludes with singing Silent Night and then Joy to the World. You must pre-register. Please see more here.

3 pm, other times: St. Peter’s Church of Weston. Christmas Eve Services: 3:00 PM  Family Service with Holy Eucharist & Choir, 5:00 PM – Choral Prelude, 5:30 PM   Festal Holy Communion. Space is limited and sign up is required. PLEASE USE THIS LINK TO REGISTER

4 pm, other times: St Julia’s Church of Weston Christmas Eve Mass. @ 2:30 pm, 4:00 pm, 5:30 pm & 8:00 pm

6-7 pm Westgate Church Christmas Eve Services. More information here.

5:30 pm Methodist Church of Weston. Candelight Christmas Eve service. Traditional service of lessons, carols, and candlelight.

6 pm St. Demetrios of Weston. Divine Liturgy 6 pm, Reception 8 pm.

  • I believe the Community Carol Sing at the JST has been canceled because the Town doesn’t have full claim of the property yet (still under the control of the contractor who still ‘owns’ the site (per Leon)). Please confirm with WCL and/or Leon before announcing.

  • They should do it on Town Green or Golden Ball. Such a special tradition all my life and I’m sure others
