Numbers published Thursday, January 20 by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) show Weston public schools with 56 students and 7 staff testing positive in the last 7 days (1/13-1/19), compared with 67 students and 20 staff in the prior period (1/6-1/12). Numbers published on January 5 by DESE showed 81 students and 35 staff testing positive over 14 days (12/23-1/5). Things are looking much better with staff positives, but this Owl had hoped the students would have trended down faster. Let’s hope for a cliff dive next week.
