The Trendy Girl Closing Shop; Weston Travel Moves Remote

After three-ish years at 483 Boston Post Road, The Trendy Girl will be closing its doors shortly. Yesterday, notice was given on 10-75% markdowns, and the sale of fixtures and furniture. According to owner Desiree Jackson, she is closing the retail location only and keeping the online store open at https://thetrendygirl.com/. You’ll want to stop in and check it out and wish her well. Incidentally, you can find one of the most complete collections of Weston-themed items at her store (and online so don’t worry). Go ‘cats.

Weston Travel has also shut its storefront in the same building–moving online and “on phone”. You’ll get the same great service from Cindy Spencer but not have to fight for parking in front of the building. Just kidding. I have never once fought for parking in Weston–and this is just one of the main advantages of our town over say, San Francisco. You can find Weston Travel at westontravel@comcast.net or call (781) 891-9110 and read about its 50th anniversary on the Owl.

What’s next for the space between the barber and Laroque? World headquarters for the Weston Owl? Nope. Bookstore? I wish. I don’t know but someone should tell me before I make something up.

Remember, folks: Shop local! It is nice to have a walkable downtown now, but if you don’t actually shop there, the businesses will leave. See, I was paying attention in economics class.

And don’t forget Coffee With A Cop this morning, Wednesday, from 10 am-11 am. Don’t make Acting Chief Tom Kelly sit at a table all alone sipping really great coffee. See you at Heirloom! 31 Center Street.
