Tickets Going Fast for WHS Drama’s Chicago May 5, 6, 7

This is it, Weston! On May 5, 6, and 7, it’s time for the final musical production of Weston High School for school year 2021-2022. And along with it, comes the realization that the seniors in this show are swan-songing (singing?) in their last high school musical stage appearances. I am completely traumatized as one of the neighbor owlets is one of said seniors and if you see anyone sobbing in the fifth row on Saturday night during what should be a rousing musical number, that will be the Owl. And probably next to me will be his voice teacher Bronwen. How do they go from Daddy Warbucks in fifth grade to singing the role of Billy Flynn in Chicago as a senior? Stop time.

Anyway, forget my issues and reserve your tickets now for this fun live performance of Chicago: High School Edition. Here’s the synopsis:

“In roaring twenties Chicago, chorine Roxie Hart murders a faithless lover and convinces her hapless husband, Amos, to take the rap… until he finds out he’s been duped and turns on Roxie. Convicted and sent to death row, Roxie and another “Merry Murderess,” Velma Kelly, vie for the spotlight and the headlines, ultimately joining forces in search of the “American Dream”: fame, fortune, and acquittal.”

This production contains some mature subject matter and is not recommended for children under age 10.
