Absentee Ballot Requests Due Tomorrow May 3 for Weston Town Election 2022

Going to be away this weekend but still want to vote in our Weston Town Election which is Saturday, May 7? Yay for civic responsibility and here’s all the information you need to get an Absentee Ballot. Do hurry to get that application in because as of 5 pm tomorrow May 3, your chance to vote by mail is over.
Here are the criteria to request an absentee ballot: a registered voter who will be unable to vote at the polls on Election Day due to absence from the city/town during polling hours, disability, or religious beliefs. Applications are available for download but any written request is acceptable if it has your signature on it. For absentee ballots, a member of your family may also make the request on your behalf. The absentee ballot application form is available in a fillable PDF format.
Residents wishing to deliver their application or ballot in person may utilize the secure drop box outside the double glass doors of Town Hall (11 Town House Road). Please submit the application or ballot in the supplied envelope. The drop box is checked frequently throughout the day. Once your ballot is submitted, it cannot be changed for any reason.
Absentee ballots (filled out) must be received by the Town Registrar/Drop Box by 6 pm on Saturday, May 7. If you are voting absentee but in person at the Registrar’s Office, the deadline is Friday May 6 at noon. Do not be 40 minutes late like one feathered friend was seven years ago, having just moved to town and apparenttly been confused by telling time in the northern hemisphere.
If you don’t have exciting plans for the weekend, Town Election in person is on Saturday, May 7 from 8 am to 6 pm. Voting takes place in the Town Hall Auditorium.
Given some, ummmm, campaign issues last year, let me emphasize that there is a “periphery” set up around Town Hall on election day. You may not put up campaign posters or hand out stuff except for Blow-pops (without candidate names on them) inside the periphery.
The Owl generally browses her way up Town House Road and then votes for whoever has the best candy. She is kidding. Obviousy brownies. No, tacos. Vote, Weston!
