Spring Fling at Town Green on Saturday May 21

After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, Spring Fling, sponsored by Weston High School, is back on the Town Green this Saturday, May 21 from 10 am to 3 pm. In case you wanted to know which came first, Celebrate Weston or Spring Fling, it is the latter, but you can enjoy both. Trust me when I say your littles will love Spring Fling, and you’ll be doing good because all money raised goes to Camp No Limits, a summer camp for kids with limb loss and differences. This is the eighth year Spring Fling has raised money for this camp with the volunteer support of many high school students.

Children in grades K-5 will enjoy games, crafts, musical entertainment and activities such as face painting, a petting zoo, caricatures and cookie decorating. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be sold as well as cotton candy and popcorn. Tickets for food and activities will be available for purchase on the Town Green. The Bubble Man is coming — he was very popular at the Pumpkin Festival last fall. Given the predicted heat of Saturday, the Fire Department will be opening up all the fire hydrants for a cool-down. The last part is not true–as if our water tanks could handle that.

Camp No Limits is run by the No Limits Foundation which is a non-profit organization 501 (c)(3) providing camps for children with limb loss and differences. The camp aims to provide education, mentorship, and support to these children and their families.
