Music Al Fresco Fundraiser at Pierce Park with Society of St Vincent de Paul

What a blast Celebrate Weston/Spring Fling was, right? A huge round of feathered clapping (flapping) for everyone involved in making the day an amazing success and so much fun we almost forgot our shoes were melting into the pavement. It will take me at least a year to recuperate so please no celebrating anything until Memorial Pool renovations get approved. And then, let’s throw a pool party. And when I say “let’s”, I mean anyone other than me.

Here’s your next event, Weston, and it’s a bit more chill. On Tuesday, May 24 at 6 pm, come on out to listen to Music Al Fresco with the Society of St. Vincent de Paul of Lincoln and Weston. This is a big fundraiser for the society which works on food insecurityemergency assistance and scholarships through a food bank and other activities. The event is also a cover for Weston’s best chance to annex Lincoln while their Minute Men are lulled into tranquility by the lovely music. Think about it–Lincoln has better trees for sure. Also Drumlin Farms.

When I first posted about this on the Owl calendar, I accidentally wrote Music ALL Fresco, and I kind of like that. It’s all-in for fresh air at Pierce Park in Lincoln–you know the giant white mansion–wait, is it yellow? Hmmm. It’s on the left as you drive up Weston Road to marvel at the twisted tree in front of the Lincoln Library. According to the weather predictions, it will be a lovely evening for sitting in your favorite Weston-branded portable chair and sipping beverages which you do not need to identify.

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul of Lincoln & Weston is all about neighbors helping neighbors.  Suggested donation is $50 per person (or more!). Tickets are available on-line here.  If you can’t make it but would like to donate to SVdP, click here. You can also send a check payable to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, PO Box 324, Lincoln, MA 01773.
