Memorial Day Service and Parade Start at 10 am, Monday May 30

As a reminder, today is Memorial Day, a day to honor and remember those who lost their lives in service to this country. It is also the official non-calendar start of summer, and summer is taking that seriously with an expected temperature today reaching 89 degrees. Things should be a little cooler this morning at 10 am for the Ceremony and 11 am (or immediately after the Ceremony) for the parade, but please bring water, wear hats and sunscreen, etc.
The Ceremony will take place at Weston Town Hall’s Sears Auditorium and masks are encouraged indoors. The speakers this year are Massachusetts State Representative Alice Peisch and Veteran Bill Rose. The Parade will follow the Ceremony at approximately 11:00 am and begin outside Town Hall. Children are invited to march in the parade or ride their bikes following the Weston Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. Bike/stroller/wagon decorating is encouraged.
Please note that the parade route round trip is 1.8 miles, and takes approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. For more information, please see the official town website or the Weston Owl.
