Race Amity Festival Moving Indoors Today Sunday June 12; Program Released

Happy Race Amity Day! Massachusetts Race Amity Day has been declared a day (second Sunday in June) to recognize that the people of the Commonwealth is composed of multicultural, multiethnic, multiracial citizens, and to encourage friendship, collegiality, civility, respect and kindness as the commonly shared ideals of the collective citizenry of the commonwealth by joining with communities across the United States to reflect on the beauty and richness of the diverse peoples of this great nation while reaching out with a spirit of amity toward one another annually and recommending that the day be observed in an appropriate manner by the people.”

Weston’s Race Amity Festival is on for today, Sunday June 12 from 6-7:30 pm but is moving indoors at St. Julia’s Parish, due to expected rain. The program has been released and it’s a wonderful mix of song, dance and speakers. You can read more about the Race Amity Festival in the Owl here.

St. Julia’s is located at 374 Boston Post Road. Parking is available on the street or in the large lot behind the church.
