WCCA Sports Equipment Swap Coming Up August 29

So, if you are the parent of an owlet (or let’s just say a “child”) who once loved a sport and then you bought all the equipment for it and then guess what, they hate it…or say your kid is growing like gangbusters and needs a new set of lacrosse pads, skis, boots, whatever and you want to pass on his/her/their pre-loved stuff…have I got an event for you, as well as a run-on sentence.

It’s time for the Weston Community Children’s Association (WCCA) Sports Equipment Swap and playdate, this year on Monday August 29 from 4-6 pm at the muster field, aka Lamson Park on Townhouse Road. Please bring any sports equipment you would like to trade or donate, and take what you need! Please donate only items that are in very good to excellent condition. As in, if there is a hole in the toe of a cleat, that is not in good condition. No exercise equipment, please.

Bring your stuff, then “shop” and stay a while to socialize and play.

If you cannot get to the event, there is a donation bin at the Weston Recreation Center, 20 Alphabet Lane.

Please contact cathy.jeon@gmail.com with any questions.
