On Saturday, September 10 from 9 am to 1 pm, Weston Cub Scout Pack 157 is holding a Open House and Join Scouting Day. The event will be held at the Weston Scout House at 86 School Street.

Cub Scouts is a program that gives parents and their children an opportunity to make memories together, while helping kids develop skill and character traits that will benefit them for the rest of their lives. The Owl must mention at this point that the Owlets were Cub Scouts for a couple of years and really loved the Pinewood Derby and s’mores but met their waterloos over making wood into a toolbox. Suffice it to say that one made a birdhouse and one “had fun.” It must also be said that Weston’s Pack 157 is well-known for being one of the best packs on the planet.

You are invited to bring your entire family to the open house to learn more about Cub Scouting (Grades K-5) and join some fun activities. The day starts with an open ceremony at 9 am and there will be activities open until 1pm.
