Reception for Joe Ferguson, Local Weston Artist, This Saturday, October 1

Celebrate the arrival of October, the year’s orangest month (unless you are Dutch and then well, orange is never out of style) by stopping by the reception honoring Weston artist Joe Ferguson this Saturday, October 1 starting at 2 pm at the Art & Innovation Center. That was a marvelously long first sentence, no?
As covered in a past Owl, Joe’s sculpture Counterpoint, was recently installed at the AIC, enlivening both its front lawn and adding to the newly renovated Weston Town Center. Okay, the last sentence was written by the AIC–I would have said adding happy reasons to stop for more than a nanosecond at any of the Intersection of Doom stop signs.
Joe will give a short talk about his career as an artist and will be showing some additional pieces as examples of the breadth and depth of his work. This I have got to see because some of his works are HUGE–let’s see how those get through the front door.
Reception: 2 pm-4 pm
Artist Talk: 2:30 pm
I hope there is CAKE.
The Weston Art & Innovation Center is located at 356 Boston Post Road. You can find out more about the calendar of events at the AIC at http://www.westonaic.org.
