¡Vamos! to Weston Public Library to See Raúl the Third – Nov 17

Author/Illustrator Raúl the Third will be in Weston for a talk, demonstration and book signing on Thursday, November 17 at 4 pm at the Weston Public Library. This even is co-sponsored by the Weston Public Library and the Weston Art & Innovation Center.

Raúl the Third presented to sixth graders at the Weston Middle School pre-pandemic–and those sixth graders are now juniors and seniors. The author worked with the students to show them how self-reflection is an important step in learning how to express who they are in graphic novels.

Raúl The Third is a New York Times bestselling and three-time Pura Belpre award-winning illustrator, author, and artist living in Boston. Vamos! Let’s Cross the Bridge was awarded one of the year’s Best Illustrated Children’s Books of 2021 from the New York Times and the New York Public Library. He is currently adapting his World of Vamos! books into an animated television series with Silvergate Media and Mercury Filmworks.

His work centers around the contemporary Mexican-American experience and his memories of growing up in El Paso, Texas and Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. To register please follow this LINK. This event is free and open to the public.

Hi: my emails from you are still coming in gigantic – its very hard to read them since they don’t fit on one screen. Hope you are able to fix this!! Thanks

    • Thanks for letting me know. We are working on it, I am so frustrated. May have to move the posts from WordPress. I guess I would say when an email comes in that you want to read, just head to westonowl.com for now. I am very sorry.
