Neighbors in Need: How to Help with a “Turkey Tin” Food Basket or Gift Card

Thanksgiving has different meanings for different people. For some, it is a time to gather with friends and family, enjoying each other’s company and fighting over the last piece of pumpkin pie. For others, it means a time to reflect on how we are blessed and how to pass our blessings on to others. At its heart, it is a day of giving thanks and expressing gratitude.
The Society of St Vincent de Paul (SVdP) is inviting Lincoln and Weston communities to support neighbors in need by providing Thanksgiving “Turkey Tin” food baskets for the SVdP Food Pantry guests. They plan to give 130 families both a “Turkey Tin” food basket and a grocery store gift card.
You can sign up here to bring either a Thanksgiving “Turkey Tin” and/or a $25 grocery store gift card.
“Turkey Tin” food baskets and grocery gift cards need to be dropped off at the SVdP Food Pantry located behind St Joseph’s Church (142 Lincoln Road, Lincoln):
- Friday November 18th between 4:30 – 6:00 pm or
- Saturday November 19th between 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
