Second Annual WCL Gingerbread Treasure Hunt Starts November 19

For the second year, the Women’s Community League of Weston is running a Gingerbread Treasure Hunt around the thriving downtown metropolis we call home. From Saturday, November 19 – Friday, December 2, kids will hit the sidewalks (utility-pole-free!) to suss out the locations of these cute stuffed Gingerbread kids. While you’re out there, it would be great if you would support the local businesses.
How it works – Families will visit participating Weston businesses using a map to find hidden gingerbread kids and will check them off on the map each time they spy one. Maps will be available at multiple retail locations, as well as sent home in the school backpacks of Weston elementary school students, and online (using a QR code). When the children and families complete their hunt, they will scan a QR code so they will be entered into the drawing at the Winter Festival.
Prizes – There will be prizes in addition to the grand prize LEGO gingerbread house set (the exact same as last year back by popular demand). Also, this year we are holding an opportunity draw for three custom-made gingerbread houses at Winter Festival.
The Treasure Hunt is followed by the ever-popular Winter Festival on Saturday, December 3 from 2-4:30 PM with many fun, outdoor FREE activities and then by a special tree lighting.
