A New Sign of How to Support the Weston Public Library

So, here we are, Weston, the day after total chaos and overwhelming stress–but enough about the Brazil World Cup game (they won, in case you’re living under a rock or don’t care about the World Cup, which is frankly weird). Most stores are open and some lunatics are actually sitting on I-495 near Wrentham, waiting an hour to go for a shop. I do not understand this–I spent my hour out of the house this morning walking the trails of Ogilvie Forest with a friend.

What is also open and less stressful on your wallet is the Weston Public Library–which welcomes your rainy-day perusal of its shelves of books, audiobooks, and DVDs. And what would also be welcome is your support of the Friends of the Weston Public Library which has some newly minted yard signs with which to express your household’s love of everything library.

You can get your yard sign for free but if you ask me, it would be awesome if you upped your membership, or just threw in a few more dollars if you are already a member. Currently, the Friends of the Weston Public Library has 297 members which is down from last June’s 314 members. We can do better. If you are as competitive as I am, you can up your membership here.

The Friends of the Weston Public Library recently raised over $9,000 from their fall bake and book sale–$3,900 from baked goods, and $5,250 from the book sale. You can learn more about what the FWPL does by clicking on this link or checking them out on social media here: https://www.facebook.com/FriendsWestonPublicLibrary/https://www.instagram.com/friendsofthewestonlibrary/

You can get your very own yard sign by sending an email to Sari: Sari.Laberis@gmail.com or by messaging her on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/sari.fromson. The Owl would like one even though she lives on a short cul-de-sac road with mostly deer and coyotes passing by.

Support your local library!
