Holiday Open Studio with Weston Artist Larry Grob – December 10 and 11

I met one of Weston’s fabulous local artists, Larry Grob, a few years ago at the invitation of Alyson Muzila who owns several of his works. Larry was having a holiday open house at his home studio, and Alyson and I wandered the halls, admired all of his beautiful paintings, and then I stuffed one in my backpack. Oh fine, I didn’t– I actually did pay for it, and it now graces the front hallway where it reminds me every day of one of my favorite places. On a technicality, the painting is of Swan’s Island in Maine, but it reminds me of Mount Desert Island and it’s my prerogative to see what I want. I have to say that if I could paint like Larry, I would never ever sell anything but simply hoard my beautiful things.

Fortunately for you, and for me, Larry is not a hoarder, and at least once a year opens his home studio to friends and collectors, and casual shoppers (his greeting cards are very popular). This year the open studio is this weekend, December 10 and 11. Here’s the info:

When: 10am-4pm Saturday and Sunday, 12/10 & 12/11
