Church-y Stuff Coming Up for Your Christmas Week

This weekend and next are filled with church-y stuff. As you can tell, the Owl is not involved in church-y stuff but does love the pageantry and storytelling. The following list of events is not exhaustive and may be updated if I feel like it. It’s a blog, folks, need I remind you? There will be an additional post covering Christmas Eve happenings, but not yet.
Technically not a church-y stuff event is the Skylark “A Christmas Carol” at First Parish Church on Friday, December 16. I think you all know the story but Skylark has made it all new. Check out the Owl post on it here. If you have not met them, the Grands will be attending which is reason enough to go.

Sunday, December 18:
Church School Christmas Pageant at First Parish Church of Weston. I live for Church School pageants, especially those where I know the kids (and I know two of the kings at least, class of 2025, hello!). I think Brother Owl was a sheep once when we lived in New York. I need the Grand Owl to confirm. This is the “Christmas story” as interpreted by youth and children, and will take place during Sunday Services at 10:30 am. If you have any questions about the First Parish Christmas Pageant (including the rehearsal schedule!), contact Sarah at SarahNapoline@FirstParishWeston.org.

December 24 Christmas Eve Services:
So far, the Owl is aware of services at First Parish (reservations required), St. Peter’s, United Methodist, St. Julia’s and St. Anne’s. If anyone would like to include their organization’s services in the upcoming post on Christmas Eve “churchy stuff”, please send information to thewestonowl@gmail.com. Also non-churchy stuff is welcome, like the carol sing held as per usual on December 24 at the Josiah Smith Tavern at 7 pm.
