Weston Table Donates $20,000 to National Park Foundation

As most people know, Weston is home base to the beautiful and unique Weston Table retail store. If you have not been in the shop at 466 Boston Post Road, you are missing out on one of the best multi-sensory experiences in metrowest–beauty and deliciousness surround you and there are always new items to ooh and aah over.

One of my favorite corners of the store is the children’s area. While my toddler twin Owlets would have made short work of some of the lovelies, I love to see and play with some of the items. And when I say “play”, I mean adore from afar, including the Maileg items. Maileg, if you didn’t know, is a Danish brand of children’s toys all well-made and simple, with a refreshing lack of plastic. Also they are adorable mice.

If you head ino the shop or look online, you will see the theme of hiking, camping and boating little mice. In 2022, Weston Table partnered with Maileg to sell these items, and donate 100% of the proceeds of the hiking bundle to the National Park Foundation, an organization much loved by the Owl.

The Owl checked in with Weston resident and WT owner, Dianne O’Connor about the campaign:

“We wanted to support an organization that was as important to as many people in the US as possible and find a way to make the donation amount reachable and still meaningful,” said Dianne. “Also, I’m a Montana girl and so near and dear to my heart are Glacier and Yellowstone National Parks—two of my favorite places on Earth and two parks needing funding for wildfire prevention and education.”

Clearly, many Weston Table customers felt the same.  By the end of 2022, Weston Table summed up their donation and wrote a check for $20,000. That’s an amazing number–thank you to Weston Table and its community of shoppers!

You can stop in to Weston Table in downtown Weston, Monday-Saturday 10 am-5 pm, and also shop online. Weston residents enjoy free shipping and sometimes personal delivery.

The National Park Foundation is the official nonprofit partner of the National Park Service, the National Park Foundation generates private support and builds strategic partnerships to protect and enhance America’s national parks for present and future generations.

  • I agree completely with the Owl’s description of the Weston Table. It is a great addition to our little downtown shopping area. I love the variety in the merchandise. When I have a need for a great gift for a “hard to buy for” person, its my first stop. And I usually pick up something perfect and beautiful!
If you haven’t been in yet, you owe it to yourself. Its just a fun place to visit and browse.

  • How wonderful
