Donate Books for Little Free Libraries in Weston – January 21

A Weston High School freshman is working on an Eagle Project for Boy Scouts and needs the community’s help to get the libraries stocked. Tanner is building four Little Free Libraries throughout the town this spring and is holding a book drive at Brother’s Market on Saturday, January 21 from 2:30-4:00.

At this point, I do not know where these new little libraries will be. I can only hope one will appear miraculously at the Merriam/Lincoln Road/North Avenue corner, so I can get a little reading in while waiting for cars to stop for me to run across. It’s a long wait. Have I mentioned that I think we need a pedestrian crossing, flashing strobe lights and bunnies there? Oh yes, I have, and even to Traffic and Sidewalk. Minus bunnies. Looks like I’ll be building a bench to go with my library.

Anyway, please stop by Bros Market on Saturday with a box full of books. Any and all book donations are greatly appreciated, except maybe SAT Study Guides and marketing textbooks.

By the way, the Owl knows of three Little Free Libraries in Weston (not including any religious-themed ones). None of them are on the map. Let’s get them on the map! https://littlefreelibrary.org/map/
