School Committee Office Hour Today via Zoom: Input on Superintendent Search

.
The School Committee holds an office hour via Zoom every few weeks. The next office hour occurs today Thursday, March 2, at 10 a.m., and Maija Gooch will be the committee member attending. The office hour is by zoom only and the Zoom link is here: https://westonorg.zoom.us/j/86403146288. Note that this zoom call is also for general comments or info sharing, not only for superintendent-search-related issues.
The School Committee has recently launched a process to search for an interim superintendent, and today’s zoom call participants have the opportunity to provide input related to the search. There will be other opportunities for input as well, and not only for parents of children in the school system.
Specifically, the School Committee would like to know:
-the qualities you’d like to see in the new superintendent.
-the strategies you’d like our district to prioritize.
-the metrics you look to when evaluating the quality of our schools.
You can be part of the effort by:
-filling out the online survey at https://bit.ly/3EKWYdb
-participating in an open forum like today’s, and also including the one for elementary-school parents on March 6 (9:30 a.m. at Case), for middle school and high school parents on March 7 at 9:30 am at the HS auditorium and the one for all community members on March 9 (7 p.m. via Zoom), and be on the lookout for other potential opportunities.
-emailing the school committee at schoolcommittee@weston.org.
School Committee will share the community’s collective feedback at the School Committee meeting on March 13.
