While many winter sports have ended their post-season runs (pun intended: indoor track sends runners to New Englands today and Nationals next weekend, and Wrestling apparently also has folks in post-season today), Boys Hockey had a spectacular overtime win in the Round of 32 over Boston Latin Academy (2-1 OT) and has moved on to the Sweet 16.

Seeded 18th in Division 4, this means that next up for the co-op Dover-Sherborn-Weston team is the Sandwich Blue Knights who are seeded #2. This is not going to be easy as we all know that Knights know how to wield long sharp things but that Raiders (D-S) and Wildcats also have mad skills.

What I don’t know is why the Knights are Blue. Why not just Knights? No one knows. Unless wikipedia does and then it appears that blue is a color of truth and sincerity, though I see no mention of hockey skills. We’re good here. What we are slightly disappointed in is the name of their Girls Hockey team the “Lady Knights”. Ummmm, really? I am guessing the “Ladies” really rip things up, and nothing lady-like about it. Ah well, not my fight. Remember the ladies.
