On Monday, March 13 after school (around 3:30ish) come to the Weston High School gym to see the rematch of last year’s Teacher vs. Student basketball game. The official invite reads “Mr. Peri and the teachers are looking for a repeat of last year, but the student team will definitely have something to say about it!”

Here’s what I remember from last year…and this is just like the parent vs kid soccer game at “our” Brazilian beach every year…the parents (teachers) always win even if they don’t win, if you know what I mean. Am I implying foul play? I am not. Gray zone? Hmmm. Liability insurance over here at the Owl is not high. It doesn’t matter who wins, it is tons of fun and the money goes to a good place.

My favorite part of this invitation is that at halftime, legendary WHS Physics teacher and possibly-seeded badminton player, Dr. K, will be taking on Owen Wang and Eric Wei for bragging rights. If you do not know Dr. K, well this will be a good introduction.

All proceeds go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
