Bowling for WHS Scholarships with Weston Community League – April 1

.
Things I learned in the last month: The Weston Community League (né Women’s Community League) used to raise almost $25,000 a year with the Clothing Exchange at the old barn of the old JST. $25,000!!! That’s amazing! Oh, also I learned that the Weston Golf Club has a bowling alley! Who knew? Okay, maybe everyone but me — I just try to remember one thing at a time about the WGC and that is NO DENIM. The Owl successfully navigated this last thing yesterday at the Track Banquet while living most days in jeans and fleece.
Back to the WCL which is pivoting from the Clothing Exchange (which I still think should come back in town..what’s happening over in the Fiske Law Office? Anything? I thought not) to a “Bowling for Scholars” event on Saturday, April 1 at 6:30 pm. Funds from this event will go to Weston High School’s graduating seniors as well as your medical bills from straining your hamstring chucking the ball. Oh wait, candlepin bowling. The most Bostonian of all bowling. No risk of straining a hamstring, but that would be covered by your own healthcare insurance.
Please note that you do not need to actually bowl to come out for food, drink, fun and conversation, and to judge the form of your friends and neighbors. And raise money for the ongoing success of the WHS class of 2023!
“Bowling For Scholars” – Saturday, April 1 at 6:30 p.m. at The Weston Golf Club, 275 Meadowbrook Road. This event is open to the public. $100 per person.
Please note Weston Golf Club has a strict no-denim policy. Did I mention that? First paragraph, folks.
