WHS Girl Up and Robotics Summer Program for Middle Grades

.

The Weston High School Robotics Team GNCE and Girl Up Club are partnering to host a summer robotics program targeted at increasing gender inclusivity in STEM. GNCE is the 2022 Massachusetts State Championship-winning team and has advanced to the World Championships three times, and Girl Up is an advocacy and fundraising group that strives to open more opportunities to girls and women worldwide.

As you all know, the Owl is a big fan of the Galactic Narwhal Chicken Effect (GNCE) Robotics team and has written more than one post about its successes. And now, your middle schooler can learn robotics from GNCE as well as hear from guest speakers about their work in STEM fields.

The Summer Robotics program will run from 9am-1pm from July 31 through August 11 and is designed for rising Weston Middle School 6th through 8th graders. The program is limited to 20 students, and registration is open until April 14, or until filled. $100 per student.
