So check it out: the Golden Ball Tavern has thrown down the gauntlet to the Josiah Smith Tavern with its re-branding for its 250th… hisTORY. Get it? They’re the Tories at the Gibbet (GBT) and there are the colonials hanging out (or not, as the case may be) at the JoSTice. I have to say, I am pretty proud of the GBT for 1. coming up with this fun little branding surprise, as well as 2. Starting to sell bling! though I see no mention of the chocolate mice of which I am so fond.

There are many events coming up at the Gibbet and your membership dollars will support this hisTORIc place (this could get addictive). Favorites: barn sale (if this does not have mice of some variety, then something is seriously wrong here) on May 20, Country Garden Club flower and plant sale on May 10th, 11th and 12th and beer tasting on June 8. I absolutely love inviting Jack’s Abbey but can we also invite Trillium some day–you know they are owned by a Weston family right? You do now.
