On Tuesday, May 30 at 5:30 pm, please join the Society of St. Vincent de Paul of Lincoln and Weston for their largest fundraiser of the year. It’s an outdoor concert at Pierce Park in Lincoln, featuring the trio of Mara Bonde, Sandra Piques Eddy and Brian Moll; Christian Rougeaux; and the Kemp Harris Band. It’s a good time for a good cause, a chance to picnic on the grass, renew old friendships, and take a chance on great gift baskets from local businesses. And it all benefits the great work that SVdP does in the Weston and Lincoln communities. 

I have to be honest with you all and say I read the title of the program quickly as “Brazing in the Grass.” It’s Grazing in the Grass, right, people? It could be Brazing in the Brass. I am not fond of this typeface in case anyone wants feedback. Anyway, you’ll be outside on grass and listening to music. Brazenly.

The money goes to running a food pantry, giving emergency financial assistance, and awarding scholarships to people who live, work and go to school in Lincoln and Weston. In fiscal year 2022 SVdP spent nearly $72,000 in food assistance, $60,000 in financial aid, and more than $16,000 in scholarships.
