A group of 15 friends from Weston’s First Parish Church community has recently partnered with the International Institute of New England (IINE) to support the resettlement of a refugee family (country of origin to be determined). Beginning this fall, Weston Resettle Together will work with IINE to help a family adjust to life in the US by connecting them with housing, healthcare, legal services, school, employment, and more, offering friendship and
moral support along the way.
The group plans to welcome a family to Lowell in September, and needs to raise a minimum of $10,000 by then for the first few months of rent and living expenses. To help us reach our goal and ensure this family has a safe place to land when they arrive, you can make a tax-deductible contribution by visiting our fundraising page on IINE’s website. There are many ways to donate: debit or credit card, check, wire transfer, stock/securities, or donor-advised funds. Any amount will make a big difference, and 100% of the funds raised will go directly to supporting our family!
We appreciate your help and encourage you to spread the word within your networks.
