Senior Night for WHS Girls Lacrosse Tonight May 25

.

Due to circumstances out of the Owl’s control, this post is late but it’s important. Tonight, May 25, is the night to honor the three seniors of WHS Girls Lacrosse–yes, it’s time for the one and only Senior Night at Proctor Field. The ‘cats will be taking on the Hopkinton Hillers…wait, what? What is a “Hiller”? No earthly idea and what exactly is going on with the mascot?

That’s a Hiller. What goes on here with Hank the Hiller? Anyone got a hint or must I find an intern? Link.

The Owl remains gobsmacked by this one. So let’s move on: the schedule goes like this:

5:30 PM Girls JV vs Hopkinton on Field 1

6:45 PM Girls Varsity Senior Celebration

7:00 PM Girls Varsity Game vs Hopkinton on Proctor

The most fun part of the night as always is the introduction of the seniors and their parents, who let’s face it, have spent a lot of their lives on the sidelines and in the carpools. It’s all worth it, am I right?

The Snack Shack will be OPEN! And there is FREE PARKING! And a gorgeous night celebrating kids! It’s going to a great night for lacrosse and community. These athletes would love your support!

The three seniors being honored are Maddy Schiller, Ava Dreyer and Haven Trodden.

Go ‘cats!

And just one more thing on the awesome WHS Girls Lacrosse team–they pretty much made the Owl’s day three years ago with a happy video they did during the pandemic when their season was canceled. You have to love the teamwork, the grace and the power. Again, go ‘cats!

[Note: I sadly cannot get the video to embed. The tech crew is working on it but just imagine how fun it is. Sigh.]
