As most people who shop local know, Weston Provisions, the sandwich shop and gourmet market downtown has Fried Chicken Fridays–fried chicken sandwiches that defy description so I’m just leaving that there photo up there. And as most Westonians also know, tomorrow is the Community Event known as Weston High School graduation at the Town Green at 5 pm. I do not wish anyone to discuss the chance of “chuva” (do not say the “r” word) because that is just simply unacceptable.

To celebrate the class of 2023, Weston Provisions has a special that can be pre-ordered today–a box “lunch” for your graduation picnic on the green. You get an original or hot fried chicken sandwich, Deep River chips and a cold drink. Sorry, no liquor license yet so no Bud Lite for you, also I think no alcohol on Town Green? Yes, no alcohol and no “Easter” bunnies, only Spring Bunnies. All this for $23. Class of 23. Get it? Good.

Now, pull together your picnic blanket, your beach chairs and your friends, pick up your chicken box and let’s cheer on those ‘cats at 5 pm tomorrow, June 2 at the Town Green.

PS. In case of “r” word, graduation would be moved inside the Middle School gymnasium and numbers of attendees very restricted. You will have to eat your chicken sandwich at home but do not worry, you shall not suffer. Yum. BTW, I do not accept the chance of “r”.
