After a three-year absence, the “car show” is back! On September 23, 2023, join your friends, neighbors and car aficionado buddies for the 26th Annual Weston & Wayland Rotary Club Antique & Classic Car Show. Even if you have no clue what a double overhead-cam is or know the 0-60 time of a Koenigsegg Trevita, you’ll like to see pretty shiny cars. Trust me.  According to Rotary, the 2019 Car Show attracted over 200 cars ranging from Classic Muscle Cars to Micro Messerschmidts and over 2,000 attendees.

All net proceeds from the car show go to Rotary Club of Weston & Wayland Educational Scholarships and other Rotary Club projects. Cars can show up from 8:00 AM. Guests will be welcomed warmly from 8 AM to 3 PM.

“We are excited to celebrate our 26th year of the show. We hope that everyone will join us this year. Each year this show gets bigger and more renowned”, according to show Chairmen Richard DeVito, Sr. and Jr. “This show is a Rotary fundraiser that benefits the Rotary Scholarship fund and has raised nearly $542,000 in the first 25 years!“

This year, Rotary is expecting a flock (herd? school?) of race cars from Sprint cars to Indy cars. In addition, there will be a number of Ferraris, Mercedes Benz, Jaguars, and Rolls as well as Chevrolets, Studebakers, Fords, and everything in between.

The Devitos always tell people they’d like any car to be shown that you’d like to show, which is a much-appreciated “all are welcome” so this year the Owl is bringing her Plug-In Hybrid Volvo XC60 in Denim Blue. No tours are available but please leave treats for K9 Katie Puppy whose vehicle this really is.

In addition to cars, you can enjoy breakfast and lunch at the world famous Weston Rotary Grill featuring coffee and donuts, fresh-popped popcorn, hot dogs, hamburgers and soft drinks. The Owl can attest to the grill being manned by wonderful volunteers who definitely know how to cook a burger just right.

The car show is a great time for “car kids” ( the Owl has learned a new term) ages 6 to 100 and is one of the premier events in Weston. Be there.

For auto registration forms, call Richard A. DeVito, Sr. or Jr. at 781-893-4949 ext.142 or ext. 107,  download them here, or just bring your car Saturday morning to Town House Road before 10 am when the judging begins. You can learn more here: http://www.westoncarshow.com/.
