WCCA Sports Equipment Swap – September 9

The sports equipment event of the year! The Weston Community Children’s Association (WCCA) has announced that this year’s sports equipment swap will be held on September 9 from 3-5 pm, in conjunction with the Weston Dads Foundation Campout at the Woodland School Field (10 Alphabet Lane, Weston).
You do NOT have to have paid for the campout in order to participate in the swap. Note that this is a swap event–you either swap or just take what you need. You are not re-selling the equipment that you thought your kid would love but didn’t.
Drop off your gently used kids sports equipment at the Community Center the week before or bring to the event.
If you ask me, and you didn’t, I totally see this turning into super sports on the Woodland field – used lacrosse sticks, goalie helmets and whatever gets dropped off being used by dads and kids in a made-up battle. Perhaps next year we can turn it into Woodland games with rules made up on the spot. I volunteer to referee.
Reuse, recycle and have fun!
Go ‘cats!
there are a lot of helmets and skates in the swap shed at the transfer station. I wonder if they would be of any interest? (Unfortunately I can’t take them to the WCCA event.)
