More Blessings and More Animals: St. Peter’s Church, Sunday October 1

Exact moment when Triceratopsie joined our family, Chicago 2011

So, here’s the deal, Weston. If your animal or stuffed animal or photo of animal leans more Episcopal than Unitarian (please, please do not ask me the difference), the lovely St. Peter’s Church of Weston is also having a Blessing of the Animals service on Sunday, October 1 at 10 am.

The Church invites you to bring your pets, stuffed animals, or pictures of pets to receive a blessing during the service.  “We bless animals as part of our gratitude for all creation” on the Sunday nearest to St. Francis of Assisi Day.

I totally love that stuffed animals are mentioned–Triceratopsie, shown above on his adoption day at the Field Museum of Chicago (go Bears! oh fine, just kidding) is truly blessed to have been loved by an Owlet. He has made the move to São Paulo and then back here to Weston. Triceratopsie (he was named by a four-year-old) may or may not choose to go to church on Sunday, and to college in a couple of years.

All are welcome to join. St. Peter’s Church is located at 320 Boston Post Road, Weston, MA 02493.  For more information, please visit the website www.stpetersweston.org.
