Save the Date for WHS Theater Co.’s Into the Woods – November 16-18

One of the Owl’s favorite theatrical productions is on its way into Weston’s Woods, or at least our high school, in mid-November. Owls like woods, and this one in particular because it brings back memories of living in Connecticut and heading into the City (no descriptor needed–Boston is a town; there is only one City) for a weekend adventure sometimes involving a Broadway play and sometimes involving spicy food at Szechuan Taste but I am losing track here. When last I saw Into the Woods, the fabulous Bernadette Peters was in the role of the Witch. While that may seem a hard act to follow, trust me when I say that the actors of Weston High School are up for it.

Mark your calendars: tickets on sale November 1.

Ah, and go ‘cats!

Come see Weston Theater Company’s fall musical, Into the Woods, on November 16, 17, and 18.  One of Stephen Sondheim’s most popular works, this modern classic follows the story of a baker and his wife who try to lift a family curse by journeying into the woods, where they encounter Cinderella, Jack, Little Red Riding Hood, and a myriad of other fairy tale characters.  Don’t miss this critically acclaimed musical that explores what happens after“happily ever after.” All performances are at 7pm in the Weston High School auditorium.  Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for students and seniors. Weston teachers are free. Weston students are free on Thursday, November 16. Tickets on sale November 1 here.
