The Second Annual Turkey Bowl 7 v 7 one-hand touch football tournament will take place this year on Sunday, November 19 at 5 pm, the weekend before Thanksgiving. Last year’s game was after T-giving and it turns out that mashed potatoes and turducken do NOT make you a faster player, so it’s been moved to the weekend before.

Teams participating this year include the Fire Department, the Police Department, the Weston Parents and now the Weston Alumni! Go ‘cats! Does anyone remember who won last year? Yeah, me neither. Who has the trophy? I feel like Police and Fire might have grudge match going on because Police won Softball, no? Also is K9 Knox playing? Last I heard both the Parents and Alumni teams were looking for a few more players so do check in with organizer Steve Simon (contact information below).

The games will be played at Weston High School in tournament fashion with the Parents and Fire Department first squaring off against each other, while the WPD and Alumni will play. A championship game will follow.

The tournament will help fund the Weston Fire and Police Departments Relief Associations, and be free for all (donations gratefully accepted).
