Fix-It First Knife Sharpening at the AIC Today

Well, this is a bit heavier rain than the Owl was expecting this morning. Today is what is known as an “inside day” (and yeah, I will still be taking the K9 ranger for a wet walk soon. The Weston High School Boys and Girls Cross Country teams are at States today in Fort Devens-it shall be a squishy one. Go ‘cats! Stewardship Saturday is postponed until December as well so now it is the day that we kung-fu the garage into shape and no, I am not looking forward to that. At least I escaped leaf raking.

Here’s an event that you KNOW you need to go to before Turkey Day next week. Dull knives are dangerous. Trust me and Urgent Care Waltham on this one. This knife-sharpening clinic offered today at the Art and Innovation Center at 1:30-3:30 pm still has space so run over to the registration page right now.

Ever since humans invented blades, they had to figure out how to sharpen them. In this Fix-It First workshop we will be learning about metals, edges and sharpening. Bring your dull knives, scissors, chisels, planes, hedge clippers, shovels, etc. or just come empty handed to watch and learn.
