St. Peter’s Christmas Tree Lighting: November 26

All are welcome to join in the festivities and joy of the season at the annual St. Peter’s Episcopal Church Christmas Tree Lighting. Please share in the tradition of gathering for an evening of celebration and fellowship with carol music and candlelit singing.
The Christmas Tree Lighting is on the Sunday after Thanksgiving, November 26th. We will come together for a community dinner in the Parish Hall at 5:00PM. Following dinner, carols and singing will begin outside in the front circle of the church at 6:00PM, concluding with the tree lighting.
Additionally, this year people are invited to bring a new unwrapped toy donation for ages newborn to 12 years old to benefit Latinos en Acción de Waltham.
St. Peter’s Church is located at 320 Boston Post Rd.

For those of you who love tree lightings (ahem, me), there is a great guide to Boston tree lightings here. My favorite is always the Tree for Boston, the Nova Scotia tree that comes down from Canada, eh, every single year to thank the city for its help in times of need. One year I even got to meet Santa there, and the Royal Mounties which was very very cool. You can follow the tree’s trip down to Boston–there is even a cutting party every year, this year on November 15. Canadians are fun in some ways you would expect, and some which you would not. Check out the tree’s facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/TreeForBoston/
Finally, and there will be a separate post later, the community tree lighting led by the Women’s Community League will be on December 3 at 4 pm at Knox Park.
