WHS Fall Sports Wrap-Up: Go ‘Cats!

Over the weekend, Weston High School Athletic Director Mike McGrath sent out a brag sheet. There is no other way of putting this–we have a really kick-ass athletic program. Here is the summary:

Golf (10-5) – D3 State Champions, D3 Sectional Champions, DCL Foley Division Champions

Girls Volleyball (20-5) – D3 State Champions, DCL Foley Division Champions, 1st Girls Volleyball State Championship in school history as well as the 1st Girls Volleyball Championship by any school in the Dual County League.

Boys Cross Country (4-1) – D3 State Runner-ups, D3A State Champions, DCL Foley Division Champions

Girls Cross Country (4-1) – D3A State Champions

Girls Soccer (12-4-5) – MIAA State Tournament – Elite 8 Round, DCL Foley Division Champions

Field Hockey (12-5-3) – MIAA State Tournament – Sweet 16 Round, DCL Foley Division Champions

Boys Soccer (8-11-1) – MIAA State Tournament – Round of 32, first time back in playoffs since 2019

Girls & Boys Crew – Wayland/Weston team sent 4 boats to the Head of the Charles regatta in October. This is the most ever for program.

Football (3-6) – Preparing for the 89th meeting with Wayland on Thanksgiving Day (10am @ Wayland)
